Florida Democratic congressional candidate Alex Sink said immigration reform was important at a Tuesday debate because, without it, it would be difficult for employers to find people to clean hotel rooms and do landscaping.

“Immigration reform is important in our country,” she said. “We have a lot of employers over on the beaches that rely upon workers and especially in this high-growth environment, where are you going to get people to work to clean our hotel rooms or do our landscaping?

Sink is running in a special election for Florida’s 13th congressional seat, which was vacated upon the death of Bill Young last year. She ran unsuccessfully for governor in 2010 against Rick Scott.

Wow. It's true. We used not not have any Mexicans in NW LA but now they make up 90% of the construction and landscape industry. It all changed in the last 10 or so years.

The 30 million unemployed need something to do. Lets try that before we import more disease ridden folks from south of the border.

BTW Polio is now being reported in the southwest. Fucking Polio. What is this, 1920?
