Cool. Just the kind of solid, mid-priced vet we needed for that SLB spot.

Yep, solid tackler and good player in the running game. Playing behind spencer that should make us pretty solid.

When you give up 200 yards rushing in a win or go home game it's kind of important to get Better there.

Like it. Competition with Sims at SAM LB with loser being primary back-up at all 3 LB spots.

Last yr he had a career high 103 tackles. Had 7 tackles for loss, 3 passes defensed. Added 1/2 sack.

Good signing. Sims will be solid depth. Hes actually really athletic and productive. Really surprised the lions let him go.

Apparently you can't finalize a deal in principle without cap space.

Damn, this organization is stupid.

Man, how much leverage do the agents of Romo and Spencer have against wondertard Jerry?

Jerra:" Here's our best deal, take it or leave it."
Agent: "You're the one who needs cap space to sign any free agents and your draft picks. We'll need more money."
Jerra: "please sign it?"

Moore: What the Justin Durant signing means for the Dallas Cowboys depth chart at linebacker

Published: 26 March 2013 08:06 PM

Dallas Cowboys beat writer David Moore answered reader questions during a live chat on Tuesday. Here are some highlights:

What does the LB depth chart look like? Carter in the middle with Lee and Durant?

David Moore: You will have Sean Lee in the middle with Bruce Carter at one of the outside spots. If Kyle Wilber isn't ready to start, Justin Durant is likely to nail down that spot. Think back to last year when the club signed Dan Connor in free agency as security in case Carter wasn't ready to step into a starting role. That is what they have done in signing Durant. If Wilber isn't ready and Alex Albright doesn't mount a strong charge, Durant is a proven option.
