In the pre- NFL Sunday ticket days, basically all you could do back then was hope your local station carried the game. I was 12, we got stuck with the local Falcons game but they did switch to this game for the last 4 minutes or so. Amazing game indeed.

I attended the 2002 Thanksgiving Cowboys-Redskins game. Cowboys won a relatively close one.

No particularly great moments ... although Roy Williams did return an interception for a touchdown and Emmitt Smith had a productive day.

Perhaps the most memorable moment took place during halftime when a large flowing piece of fabric used during the halftime show accidentally caught fire.

Living in VA we got all the Redskins games and most of the Cowboys if they weren't on at same time/channel as Redskins. When the Redskins went up 34-21, I don't remember what I did but my mom sent me to my room. lol A few minutes later she told me I could come back out so I turned the TV back on and we were driving down the field. After we scored and then got the ball back down 34-28 my mom came in the living room and watched that final drive with me. It felt like we won the Super Bowl.
