The Philadelphia Eagles will do more medical tests on all-Pro defensive end Trent Cole after he was hurt on Friday night in Kansas City.

Initially, the team said X-rays were negative on Cole's ankle. But now Cole will have an MRI to determine how bad the sprain is that he incurred in the second quarter of a 20-17 win over the Chiefs.

Cole was dominant when he played in the game, as rookie defensive end Brandon Graham took some of the pressure off the Eagles' best defensive player.

Andy Reid told reporters late Friday that Cole would have an MRI on his injured ankle Saturday.

If Cole has a high ankle sprain or a severe sprain, he could miss considerable time.

The high ankle sprain would be the worst-case scenario and is an injury that takes months to recover from.

The Eagles don't have a lot of options at defensive end. Juqua Parker is playing behind Graham. Veteran Darryl Tapp was been a big disappointment, and he is Cole's backup.

Victor Abiamiri is already out for months, and rookie Daniel Te'o-Nesheim is a situational player.

The Philadelphia Eagles defense manhandled the Chiefs when Cole was on the field.

Mike Kakfa threw a late TD pass to give the Eagles the win, but the night's other storyline was the offensive line's struggles mirrored by a strong game by the first team defense.

Kevin Kolb was off target for much of the night, but he also on the run after the Chiefs figured out they could blitz at will.

However, rookies Graham and Nate Allen had strong games and linebacker Stewart Bradley looked to be in all-Pro form.

Cole left the game in the second quarter with an ankle injury. X-rays were negative. DeSean Jackson also lasted just one play before getting an upper back injury.

Big loss. Best pass rusher in the NFC East.

lol

Ware is the best pass rusher in the NFL.

Sometimes you just say things to get a rise out of people.

Now, respond and call me an idiotic homer.
