Beats the shit out of this gal. In August Chiefs owner Owner Hunt said they were aware of this but he saw no reason Kareem Hunt should be suspended.

Imagine the outrage if this guy were wa Cowboy. I bet he doesn't get anywhere near the suspension Zeke got (yet another example of extreme bias)

Apparently this has been out there awhile too, and neither the Chiefs nor the league has done nothing.

Chiefs release Kareem Hunt after video of February incident released
8:10 PM CT

ESPN

The Chiefs have released star running back Kareem Hunt, a decision that came after video surfaced earlier Friday that showed him shoving a woman in February.

The team announced the move Friday night. Minutes earlier, the NFL had announced that Hunt had been placed on the commissioner's exempt list.

"Earlier this year, we were made aware of an incident involving running back Kareem Hunt," the Chiefs said in the statement. "At that time, the National Football League and law enforcement initiated investigations into the issue. As part of our internal discussions with Kareem, several members of our management team spoke directly to him. Kareem was not truthful in those discussions. The video released today confirms that fact. We are releasing Kareem immediately."

In the video published by TMZ earlier Friday, Hunt is seen shoving and kicking a woman at a Cleveland hotel where Hunt had an apartment. The incident had been previously reported by multiple outlets, but Friday was the first time the video was publicized.

Hunt and the woman trade words in a hallway and are separated by several people on multiple occasions, TMZ showed. Hunt pushes the woman, who responds by hitting him in the face. Two men escort Hunt down a hallway before he charges out, colliding with a man who then knocks the woman over. Hunt also kicks the woman in the leg.

Police were called to the scene, but no arrests were made or charges filed.

Through body-cam footage obtained by TMZ, the woman and witnesses gave differing accounts of what escalated the incident. She told police that she wouldn't have sex with one of the men with Hunt, while they said she called him the N-word after being asked to leave Hunt's hotel room.

TMZ reported that prosecutors had access to the surveillance video at The Metropolitan at the 9, and the hotel, in a statement to ABC News, said it is assisting in the investigation.

The NFL placed Hunt on the commissioner's exempt list earlier Friday night, meaning if another team does sign him, he can't play in or attend games until the investigation is over and a decision on potential discipline is made. He would not count against the team's 53-man roster.

"The NFL's investigation, which began immediately following the incident in February, will include a review of the new information that was made public today," the league said.

Sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter that neither the NFL nor the Chiefs had viewed the video before it became public Friday. The league made multiple attempts to obtain it. The hotel told NFL representatives that it was corporate policy only to turn video over to law enforcement and therefore could not provide it to the league.

The NFL also contacted the Cleveland Police Department, which did not provide the league any video. Even though no charges were filed by law enforcement, the NFL continued its investigation, which included contacting the alleged victims, but they did not respond to multiple messages.

Hunt was at practice on Friday but was sent home from the facility and excused from team activities after the release of video, sources told ESPN's Dan Graziano.

The Chiefs have an AFC-best 9-2 record entering Sunday's matchup with the Oakland Raiders.

Hunt led the NFL in rushing as a rookie with 1,327 yards and eight touchdowns in helping Kansas City make the playoffs. This season, he has run for 824 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games and has seven TDs receiving.

But the former Toledo star has had trouble off the field, including the February incident and another in which he was accused of punching a man. Asked in August about them, Hunt said he had "learned from it" and was focused on football.

Reminds me of the Baltimore RB, can't remember his name. Ray Rice or something? Everything was kept under the rug until the mean ole video came out. Looks like exactly the same shit here.

And I believe the NFL when they say they talk about the efforts they made this time about as much as I believed it then, too...

Yeah they cherry-pick it too. Make an "example" out if Zeke, ignore Rice and this puke until a mean ole video surfaces.

He would make a great fit with Reuben Foster on the Redskins. They can hang out on the commish’s exempt list together.

Every article about this on Facebook the comments sections are filled with similar speculation. In this case I'm betting if/when another team rolls the dice it won't be until after a suspension is handed down.

They ought to claim him just to stick it to the SJWs. It's not like he'd be under contract, they're only claiming the rights not signing them for money.

There was speculation I heard on the radio today that the league is worried the truth will come out that they DID get a chance to review this video before. Honestly I bet the Chiefs had seen it too.

Chiefs and NFL will be in full out damage control over this now.

I bet Goodell and the Hunt family cronies are out in full force trying to silence anyone with knowledge that the league and/or Chiefs had this video before now.

And yeah, I absolutely believe both of them (NFL and Chiefs) knew about this for a L O N G time.

Breaking news: NFL suspends Cowboys RB Zeke Elliott for 2 years

After a private meeting with Giants owner John Mara, Roger Goodell announced Cowboys RB Zeke Elliott would immediately be suspended for two years.

"Kareem Hunt was clearly corrupted by Elliott and never would have beaten that women had Elliott not given him the idea" Goodell was quoted as saying. "I spoke with John Mara today and he told me, err suggested we look more into the Zeke Elliott thing because he was clearly behind this"

"We are also investigating whether or not Mr. Elliott was in any way responsible for Reuben Foster's activities"

I’m just curious here

Why wasn’t Zeke put on the Commish’s exempt list like Hunt and Foster were while they are waiting for the results of the investigation ?

That would have kept Zeke off the field for a much longer time than just the 6 game suspension

The 6 game suspension is more than anyone else has got, and Zeke was never charged with anything and the league's own investigator concluded there was no reason to suspend him.

I don't remember all of the details or exact timeline, but the "investigation" went on mostly in the offseason did it not? He only got around the more immediate suspension because he kept taking the NFL to court.

I understand the suspension part. It remains to be seen what Foster and Hunt will end up with in that regards. They should both end up with the full 6 games like Zeke.

I was just wondering why Zeke was never placed on the Commish’s exempt list while his investigation was underway like both Hunt and Foster have been.

This is just more ammo for the players in the next CBA talks

I seem to remember he won some court orders stopping the league from doing anything to him for specified times. Naturally this would include placing him exempt.

I remember that as well

But look at both the Hunt and Foster situations. Both of them were placed on the exempt list either right before or right after getting released by their respective teams. Both happened on the same day they were released I believe.

I don’t ever remember hearing anyone even mention the possibility of placing Zeke on the exempt list

Maybe Goodell learned from the Zeke debacle and that is why he placed both Hunt and Foster on he exempt list so quickly.

Because it's almost like, we never cut Zeke?

It's irrevelant anyway and acedemic.

Good point though. You might have something there. Getting on the exempt list might pre-empt restraining orders? As in, they might not go to court after the fact?

I think they still could and could get that lifted, unless it's clearly spelled out that it's not subject to appeal via the CBA?

It’s going to be interesting to see how both of these play out

I am starting to think that Zeke lucked out and will be the last dolt to be accused of DV to remain in the league

I think that from now on any player even remotely accused of DV will be ostracized by the league and their own team just to save face and be safe.

It’s going to get to the point where teams won’t even consider taking a chance on the bad PR of an accused player when it comes to DV

The league will do anything it can to keep from being branded a bunch of He Man Woman Haters

This me too movement could destroy the NFL.

LOL
