a lot of articles ive been reading have been getting me worried

main points of worry:

1. cowboys oline vs. watt and clowney

2a. cowboys secondary still doesnt have an interception .. no bueno

2b. awuzie "played well" vs detroit but he sure got picked on a lot

3a. can DAL pass rush get to one of the shittiest offensive lines in football? or a seattle repeat dud performance ??

3b. will david irving help enough if at all in his 1st game back?

4. cowboys going against another mobile qb

5. HOU defense is very very bad vs tight ends/middle of the field. will we see this exploited by DAL? can they w/ the overwhelming amount of talent they have stockpiled at the TE position ??

6. will any DAL coaches spend time teaching the defense how to tackle ???

7. im hoping twill gets cut before sunday

At the quarter pole of the season Dallas with no turn overs and the defense ranks 26 in opponents converting on 3rd down. A couple of decade old problems that continue this year.

Cowboys Write-Ups:

Zack Martin

No surprise here, as Martin has consistently been either atop this list or honorable mention over the course of his career. The Dallas guard hasn’t allowed a sack since Week 10 of last season and continues to be the gold standard for pass protection on the interior.

Byron Jones

After switching from safety to corner over the offseason, it’s not hyperbole to say that Jones has been the best cornerback in the NFL so far this year. He’s been targeted 16 times, allowing only seven catches for 51 yards. That’s fewer than 13 yards allowed per game! It’s been quite the start for the Cowboys defensive back.

More reason why the whole coaching staff from HC on down needs to be blown up.

Not really expecting much from him. Dude had no training camp practices, no preseason games and has missed 4 games already this year.

If he doesn't get injured (or suspended again) I'm sure he will help eventually, but I bet it takes him 3-4 weeks to get going.

How Ezekiel Elliott surprised teammates, sparked Cowboys last Sunday

FRISCO -- Ezekiel Elliott turned some heads during pregame warmups last Sunday at AT&T Stadium. The big screen caught the NFL's leading rusher in the middle of the huddle, jumping around and yelling at his Cowboys teammates.

In previous seasons, Jason Witten handled the pregame motivating before the team went back into the locker room. This season it has been Sean Lee.

But with Witten retired and Lee out with a hamstring injury, Elliott felt like he needed to step up.

"I think it just got guys fired up," Elliott said. "It's something they've never seen before. It's honestly the first time I've ever done it my whole life. Hopefully I was able to inspire those guys and get them going, get them ready for the game."

Elliott, who finished with a career-high 240 scrimmage yards in the 26-24 win over Detroit, prefers to lead by example. That's been his approach for the majority of his high school, college and pro career. Before games, he typically keeps to himself, focusing on his job that day.

"This is a new dimension for me," Elliott said. "I've never really had to have been that guy. But with Witten gone and Dez (Bryant) gone and Sean Lee hurt, opportunities open up and sometimes you have to be that guy.

"I'm going to do whatever I have to do for this team, whatever we have to do to be successful."

Although Elliott didn't guarantee any future pregame speeches, his teammates wouldn't mind seeing them continue.

"I was really surprised by it," right tackle La'el Collins said. "I think that's something that from now on he has to keep coming. We all saw what kind of juice that brought so we're going to be looking for that each and every week.

"I definitely wasn't expecting that from him, but he definitely brought a different type of spark that game."
