11.10.13 – at Saints 49, Cowboys 17: Defense allows franchise-worst 625 yards and NFL-record 40 first downs in prime time

23 pt halftime lead against Green Bay. Lost the game. Worst collapse in franchise history

Garret is the only Dallas Cowboys coach ever to :

1. lose a game when leading by 14 in 4th qtr (jets 2011)

2. lose a game after leading by 24 (detroit 2011)....did a similar repeat of this later in GB 2013 game

3. The Cowboys (JG) established a new franchise low in rushing touchdowns in the 2011 season with five, which included a rushing TD by Romo himself

Jason Garrett’s Cowboys set team record by going 10 quarters without a touchdown.

this and the previous post are courtesy of BigD5 at the zone, he's apparently come up with the same idea, not sure if any of the above are repeats

BigD5, do you post here?

Lets just add this to Garrett’s growing list of accomplishments

This meme really puts it into perspective how bad we have been over the past 20 years!

I know Garrett isn’t responsible for all 20 years but he is responsible for nearly half of that time. Plus this seemed like the best place to post this instead of creating an entirely new thread just to share this nugget of knowledge with you guys

25 of the 32 teams in the league have more post season wins than we do over the last two decades!!!!

And that includes the expansion Jags and Panthers along with the perineal losers the Jets, Bucks, Bears, Chargers, Fins, and Titans

That is an awesome graphic. Really puts things in perspective.

Thing is, you could flip it over if the caption said these teams have made their owner richer in the last 20 years. Which is what Jerry cares about.

The original title of the thread was about the Cowboys failures since jeri ran jimmy off, so it would include Jeris BS but then it got changed to Garrett only. Still worth posting about jeri's crap since he's the real problem and has been for 22+ years

It’s really sad to see that those perineal shitty teams have had more postseason success than we have. We are one of the storied franchises of the league and the fucking expansion teams have outperformed us for two decades.

Seattle tonight - first team since November of 1966 (Eagles) to have more penalty yards than total yards, and still win the game.

If Garrett loses next week against the Eagles, that'll make four 8-8 seasons to his resume. Is there any other coach since 1978 (the year they went to the 16-game format), that has had as many 8-8 season all with one team?

Fisher is the only one I can think of with three, so if Jerry does fire Garrett, say hello to coach Fisher.

Here is a new one

Loosing a game to a team who had more yards in penalties than they did in actual offense. All with your playoff hopes on the line

Jerry Jones gives Jason Garrett vote of confidence:picardfacepalm

The Cowboys haven’t gone to the playoffs in back-to-back seasons since 2006-07. That was Bill Parcells’ last season coaching the Cowboys and Wade Phillips’ first season coaching the Cowboys.

In seven full-time seasons under Jason Garrett, the Cowboys have two playoff seasons, advancing in 2014 and ’16.

Yet, owner Jerry Jones gave Garrett, whose contract runs through the 2019 season, a vote of confidence after the Cowboys’ 21-12 loss to the Seahawks eliminated Dallas from postseason contention.

“Just so we’re clear about it: I do understand frustration right after you lose a game that has such meaningfulness as this ball game,” Jones said. “But I get to look at a lot of different things and have been around a lot of head coaches and coordinators, so I feel good about our head coach.”

Garrett has a 66-53 record since replacing Phillips during the 2010 season. If the Cowboys lose to the Eagles next week, they will finish 8-8 for the fourth time in Garrett’s seven full seasons.

“There’s no qualms or no issues, if you’re talking about any place else relative to anything to do with the coaching — within certain boundaries, but specifically at the top,” Jones said. “We’ve just got to get it done better.”

Jones added he was excited about the team’s future
