This is interesting... Hearing Al Golden, former #Miami coach, is in line for a job as a #Cowboys assistant
11:56 AM - 26 Jan 2016

Golden's background as a coach is defense. He was the defensive coordinator for Al Groh at Virginia for several years before getting head coach jobs at Temple and then Miami.

Havent seen his job title officially named, but assuming he is coming on as DB coach to replace Henderson.

Looking for a connection? He coached with John Garrett while at Virginia.

Was thinking the same thing. Oh, Virginia, family approved.

And in a related story, Golden shares something else with the Garrett logic: criticism is he makes no halftime adjustments and fails to develop the talent he has. But the best part is the classic irony that surrounds all Garrett type reasoning: Al Golden was a defensive minded coach who was fired after losing 58-0 (42-0 at halftime) to Clemson at home, so it's obvious that his credentials speak for themselves. Garrett's ilk will lose a game 28-7 and complain that the defense couldnt make stops.

Just remembered this guy was shit at Miami. Perfect choice for the Cowboys where fails on your resume actually help your chances of getting hired by Jerry.

Now it says it hasn't been hired, but that he is one "of many" assistants the Cowboys are interviewing.

Crappareport blew it again.
