He was one of the veterans still available that was mentioned as someone we might look at.

That said, they seemed extremely pleased with what they've seen from phillips so far in the offseason.

There was an article (FWST I think) a few weeks ago where Garrett another another coach were talking about how much healthier he was, and how improved he looked in the offseason. Said his role in the offense would definitely be expanding.

Here's one of the quotes I found, this isnt the one from the FWST article though. This one was on DC.com:
