In 2015 they should have traded either the 1st or 2nd for Peterson. Remember in 2015 he actually had a really good year and then got hurt this year. I think the Saints got a steal for him.
I bet you think we shoulda drafted Johnny Futon as well.

Yeah, passing on Peterson was smart. Now the Lynch thing I'll give you was lucky.

But even assuming those both would have been good moves, how do two moves trump Jerry's two decades of incompetence?

Because it is a sign of 20+ years of worse incompetence is in the Boys future.

I've been called many names and been accused of a number of things in my time on the interwebz, but I've never been accused of being on crack before. For the record I'm not on crack.

Then you might be a ******.

Jerry Jones is one of the worst GM's in football, and because the GM is so bad he also is a fuckup as an owner, because he refused to fire the GM.

No way in fucking hell is Stevie boy worse than Jerry.

It is kinda hard to say ,in the sense that, at the time it would have made decent sense and I can see why Jerry regretted not making the pick. Considering how things turned out though it was a good move. Again lucky.

He would have been great on the Cowboys. Instead the decision was made to have JOSEPH RANDLE as the starting RB, which ultimately was one of the things that completely sunk the 2015 season. We did get Zeke out of it, which was good but as I said luck in its purest form.

Because as Executive VP he held back the Cowboys from getting both AP and Paxton Lynch. It is luck in its purest form that the Cowboys got both Dak and Zeke.

Once upon a time a coach named Jimmy Johnson "lucked" into some guy named Emmitt at RB.

We "lucked" into him after Jimmy failed to trade up and get other studs like James Francis and Lamar Lathon

They don't. It doesn't even come close.

Dude is either a CZ level type ****** or a troll. Maybe both.

Thank God you don't run things here.

Historically, I don't know who would be worse. I do know that right now Little Jones is worse. I wish Jerry had fired Garrett and hired Sean Payton and have him be the co-head of the Cowboys like Parcells was. But all that is dwelling on stuff that didn't happen and things have ultimately panned out... somehow.

I'd rather have 20+ years of SJ owning the team and running things than read 20+ more posts from the type of stuff you are spewing

That wasn't lucky, it was smart. Everybody with a functioning brain in the organization was against Johnny Knucklehead except Jerry.

That's the only reason we didn't end up with him.

True. All I'm saying is people don't give Stephen any flack and it annoys me.

What exactly does he deserve "flack" for right now?

He and McClay are the voices of reason in the organization and the roster has been improved quite a bit because of it.

Maybe you could bang on SJ a little for not being able to talk Jones out of moving on from Garrett, but even then I don't know how much blame he can actually get on that.

Dak and Zeke both made this team look better than it is. You put Romo and McFadden (who probably would have started instead of Zeke because Garrett is THAT kind of stupid, but got hurt) instead of Dak and Zeke and the team would not have gone 13-3. May I remind you just a season ago in 2015, the Cowboys went 4-12 entirely out of incompetence from coaching and management. Luckily, we have Dak and Zeke and therefore are in much better shape.
