You sure pick odd time to act like a moderator. I am sorry pointing out the ridiculousness of bans and stupid pointless legislation bothers you.

If people would just acknowledge the fact there are crazy people out there and no amount of legislation will stop them as evidenced by the horrific events yesterday, I will shut up.

edit...I will keep the remainder of my posts in this thread strictly to facts regarding the actual event. I hope that will make everyone happy.

I thought that would have been understood from the context, but upon reading it again I see I should have been more precise, I'm referring to foreign policy.

And I must clear up the fact that our "massive amounts of gun violence despite a gun ban", comes from your guns and crazy US goverment schemes sending those guns to the cartels so they can "spot them".:awkward

We probably agree on many of the issues with our foreign policy, but I have been reprimanded for deviating from the topic. The whole government sanctioned gun running thing is covered in some other threads. I would be happy to discuss those topics in the political forum with you.

Republicans need to get dirty. Sorry, I know this isn't the time to make it political, only for Republicans. But right after sandy hook it was perfectly okay to make it political. We have the most radical president this country has ever seen. Unfortunately EVERYTHING needs to be made political. It's awfully hypocritical to lecture pro gun folks about the right and wrong time to make something political when right after sandy hook gun control was brought up. Republicans should be full force calling for bomb bans. I know it's ridiculous and stupid, but so are gun bans and mag cap laws. This is a fight. There's no room to be the bigger person when the opposing party will take it to the lowest level imaginable. Eye for an eye. :D

As an aside I would say republicans/conservatives have been getting dirty for a long time. One only has to read the staunch conservative opinions on this board. Quite honestly I'm tired of all the rhetoric it isn't accomplishing anything. You all on both sides can stand pat your stupid uncompromising ideologies and we can all watch the country go down the crapper. Nothing gets done when ideologues rule the day and I would put the president in that mix.
